شكرا لك، اعتقد بأننا محبوا هواية ال BJD جميعنا نشعر بذات المشاعر و نواجه ذات التحديات، انا سعيدة اني وجدت مجتمعا من محبي هذة الهواية، لقد خشيت من كلام الناس لسنوات و كنت احاول ملء هذا الفراغ بصناعة دمى القماش و قد صنعت الكثير في الواقع لكنها لم تكن كافية، اما الآن فسأفعل ما احبه و سأسعى لممارسة هذة الهواية و انسى كلام الناس، و قد قرأت بعض القصص في التعليقات و قصصنا متشابهه، وربما نكون متشابهين فعلا، و انا ايضا احب التصوير و المونتاج و هي من هواياتي و كذلك صناعة الملابس لهذة الدمى كانت هواية منذ الطفولة، كان من الشجاعة ان تقومي بصنع هذا الفيديو و من الرائع ان ندعم بعضنا بعضا و نواسي بعضنا بشأن الصعوبان، لقد اطلت الكتابة لكن شكرا لقرائتك، اتمنى ان تري تعليقي 😊

When I was a kid I was always playing with dolls making up stories, I would spend hours on the balcony with my myscene barbies and the horrible flowy white dress I made for her and I would make up stories in my head just silently playing with them. Once I found out about comics I started drawing and left the dolls behind, it was a way for me to grow up and leave the shameful dolls behind, I still draw and I still make up stories, but it's hard for me to write because I have so much else on my mind. 15 years ago I discovered BJD dolls and fell in love with the possibilities of a moveable doll that can be endlessly customized, so I tried making my own, we were really broke, like I would glue 2 sheets of printer paper I got from school together to hold the watercolor I won at the school drawing contest better broke, so I knew I had to make my own, after over a year of fiddling with that thing I left it in the beautiful case my dad had made for me and moved on with my life, once again leaving the dolls behind. A couple of weeks ago I saw a video of myscene dolls and decided to see if I could get some second hand to replace the first one I ever had which I completely destroyed as a kid, a couple days ago I stumbled across a little cheap doll on the second hand website, and boom, I started looking up bjd dolls and bought one from a seller, I don't have her yet but I can tell you one thing, I'm not ashamed, my brain is telling me I should be because I know that's what's expected and the rules are dolls are lame and for kids but I don't care, I'm so excited for my doll to be here in a few days and I so so excited for my brand new doll to arrive from an actual doll website, I haven't been this excited about something arriving since I was a kid. I'm likely on the spectrum and at 28 I have finally accepted myself and am tired of apologizing for being overwhelmed easily or not eating certain things, and yes, I'm a bit childish and thats who I am, I think the only shame here is that it's a damn shame we don't let people enjoy "girly" things, men get to play with lego all their lives, they get to have action figures in shelves and they get to buy lifesize models of star wars characters just because it's not girly, so fuck that, I'm happy to soon own dolls, I'm not gonna hide then and I'm gonna show them off, there is nothing shameful about a person enjoying harmless dolls.

It happened to me with my hobby too. I just gave up writing fiction for several years when my son was born. Now he is older so I came back to it, feeling the same kind of guilt you describe. About my other hobby - dolls - I never stopped collecting, now I posted a few shorts with dolls for fun :-)

Omg. I’m sending you positive energy! As someone who suffers from manic depression, my ventures and interests often end up collecting dust. I get it! I don’t know where this BJD journey is headed, but I’m already worrying about potential dust. Thanks for sharing. I’ve been looking at cabinets that can be modified into a 1:3 scale wardrobe/dollhouse/storage.

The hostility that I have noticed manifest against my videos of little dolls surprises me, perhaps in some ways it is reflected in the violence towards the woman. definitely this world not ready to get rid of prejudice and myths against a simple toy.

I was looking for a body with darker skin for my character and people suggested Iplehouse, which I knew did darker colors like light brown and dark brown, but really didn't look at the sculpts of it. It's actually is nice looking body and it fits my character well so Im considering this now over DFH/A. Oh right they don't have a 3 part torso...I might still get one for the time being until otherwise

I'm thinking of making a character doll. And the character walks around completely bare footed. What are your thought on body blushing a character doll like that who is always barefooted? He would be used for photos and meet ups and stuff but that's why I'm unsure as to if I should leave the body blank or have the blushing done so it looks more natural

I remember you from an eye making vid you made. Thanks for that. I just subscribed again. SOME of the types of people in this hobby had me running with my tail in-between my legs. I kept all my bjds and items to myself... Like now I am making vids on my channel pointing out items in this hobby I find to be STILL too pricey, or just plain outta style. Great video! After having to take a doll apart to dye her, I dread the idea of taking another apart to do body blushing, but the idea of uneven sealant on the body seems even more horrifying to me lol.

I've tried writing before but I always ended up deleting them before they got very far. I can draw so I drew the characters of mine I loved so much. I think I can understand because I would really love some dolls that look like the characters (especially the main protagonist because he means so much to me) but I don't think I'll be able to for a while ._.

I love how you sip on your tea to talk!! XD I remember when I had my first doll over a decade ago. I didn’t even really know myself. I was too ashamed admitting I liked dolls. I ended up letting her go few months after purchase and felt guilty ever since. Now I am confident and really know myself, I came back to bjd and never regretted ever since! The only thing is that I have three kids (and two cats) so it’s difficult finding time. Sometimes I hold my baby and just look at my beautiful dolls, maybe touch hair or tell them how I wish I could have time with them. :( I realised that it’s also a part of doll time now :) Now I use my dolls in my work, so lately I am super open to show off my dolls to non-doll people because I use my work for excuse to bring them with me! I hope you enjoy your very own way in this hobby!!

You can try doing a trial for their story. Write a short story with their different perspectives. You know like a one shot background story just to give us a some idea about their world. Their are many different novel apps like webnovel/wattpad.

glad i found you,, i fell out of the hobby when i lost my good job that allowed me to buy so many bjd's, its a very expensive hobby. but now i need to thin down and let go of alot of dolls and clothes wigs etc

Its called life happens :) I have been on many hiatuses, sometime you need a break (for inspiration) sometimes things happen which causes a hiatus. Still have bjds, and when I start appreciating them, I really do ♡ Nothing to be ashamed or guilty about.

Ahhh the lovehate of bodyblushing. I never usually do it for my dolls but i had a doll that would have frostbite kinda feeling on his fingers so i thought i'd do that. Not only was it a ton of MSC it chipped on the side of his finger not even a day after. D: It looks SO good but at the same time, is it worth. sigh

I’m glad I found this video! It took me awhile to figure out how to put the wig on my Rem Dollfie, but I managed to put it in place. I want to try and put a different wig on her along with different clothing for photo shoots, but I was afraid of tugging on the hair and ripping some of it off.

I got one of these dolls to experiment with lighting and posing for portraiture. It needed sueding, and I had no clue how to begin with unstringing, and was terrified to do so. Thank you for this video. It gave me the confidence I needed.
